Art Lab Stage 5 activities support the NSW Board of Studies Outcomes
which are as follows:
A student:
develops knowledge,
understanding and skills to make artworks informed by their
understanding of practice, the conceptual framework and the
frames

"Assumed
Identities" - Digital Project

In this unit we
look at four contemporary artists, whose work focuses on assumed
identities. The artists are: Tracey Moffat (New York based Australian
artist),
Moriko Mori (Japanese artist based in Tokyo), Cindy Sherman (American)
and
Matthew Barney (American). This unit is designed to utilise
students ICT skills and allow them to become confident when researching
resources online. Each student is to provided a copy of the unit
cd which
with which will allow them to work independently. Reviews should
be carried out regularly by
the teacher to ensure students are on track with their project.
Additional workshops need to be conducted which will allow
students to develop their PowerPoint
skills.
